Maybe that’s not good sarcasm for you guys, but it would be hilarious to hear it in person. Let’s try that again: “CLAY AIKEN IS GAY?!” Does that work better? Anyway, what is the point of that? As hilarious and as unncessary as it really is, Clay Aiken admits to being gay on the up and coming issue of PEOPLE Magazine. On the cover is Aiken with his new born son.

 Ever since Aiken appeared on the hit show American Idol, speculation about his sexuality surrounded him everywhere he went. Of course like any typical closeted celebrity, Aiken denied the rumors of his sexuality. However, so many people, like the media, were not convinced by this.

I on the other hand find it pretty funny that he has to “come out” to the world as gay. In all honesty, the rest of the world knew while Aiken just didn’t want to admit it. I don’t mean to say that the guy should’ve been honest from the start and admit he was gay, but I do find it funny when he feels he has to share this with the world because the world knew. I see it more like a publicity stunt rather than an honest and sincere act from his part. I don’t care for his personal life because he can do as he pleases, but this is just hilarious!

But despite that, he does deserve to be commended for his honesty nonetheless for finally coming out. That at least is the most important for him and for his son. So from that perspective, congratulations Clay!
